Can Toner cartridges be made to last longer?

Yes, it is possible make ink cartridges last a little longer. In fact, a lot of people do it very often. Printers tend to give the “empty” message as soon as the toner level is low. However, you can still milk it a little more as you look for a newer one to replace. These are the tips from sellers of Toner Cartridges of Dell, Epson, Brother, Canon, HP, Xerox, and Samsung in Queensland.

So, how do I make the toner cartridge last longer even when it starts blinking or beeping?

Even though printers vary greatly from one to another, the trick is to convince the printer that you have changed the toner so that it can continue printing. Go to setup, then select “Replace Toner” and press OK. After that, press “Continue”. Go to “continue printing mode”, press “Stop” and then press “Go”. You can now keep using your printer for sometime as you look for a new toner cartridge. A very simple process and may not require a lot of knowledge.

Other printers will require you to press “on” on “Continue printing mode” severally until all LEDs blink twice. This way, you have turned on continuous mode. Press “off” continuously on “continue printing mode” until all LEDs blink once.

Do OEM cartridges last longer than remanufactured ones?

It all depends on how you use it. Technically, remanufactured cartridges are built to exceed the specifications of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) cartridges but if not used properly, it still won’t last long. If you keep your OEM in good condition and use it appropriately, it will last you a few more cycles with refills. The same goes for remanufactured ones.

Milking your toner doesn’t necessarily have negative effects. However, some of the things you may notice include fading quality, flashing of the error LED may be more frequent or a paper-jam once in awhile

Original and Compatible Ink Cartridges: the basic Differences

Buying an ink cartridge doesn’t sound like too much of a task, does it? Just go to Google, type in your printer name and model, go through a few websites and choose the one giving you the best deal and buy it. Not much of a hassle, but quite an easy one, isn’t it? Surprisingly it’s not that easy. I wish it was, but it’s not. Along the way, a few decisions need to be made.

There are three different options out there. Original ink cartridges, compatible ink cartridges and remanufactured ink cartridges. In here we’ll discuss about the first two: original and compatible ink cartridges. Both of them come with their own pros and cons and are readily available in the market. There are many companies that offer compatible Dell, Epson, Brother, Canon, HP Ink Cartridges in Queensland

An original cartridge is a cartridge that has been manufactured by the same printer’s manufacturers, for instance Canon make ink for their Canon printers.

A compatible cartridge is a cartridge that has been produced by a third party to replicate the original. These ink cartridges are built by their manufacturers to meet the exact specification of the original cartridge.

Originals Vs Compatibles

Here comes the big debate. Which one to go with, the original one or the compatible one? Well, let’s chalk out the differences first and then you can choose wisely.

Firstly Original cartridges have a hefty price tag on them. The prices are often at the higher end which makes printing regularly an expensive task, whereas Compatible ink cartridges cost around 25% less than their original counterparts. This makes them highly popular. But don’t think that the reduced cost comes at the price of the quality. There are many instances where compatible ink cartridges have outdone their original counterparts in performance.

Also Original ink cartridges are not fully loaded and are filled less than their optimal capacity. But compatible ink cartridges often contain around 30% - 50% more ink than an original, sometimes even double. This allows you to print more pages than you would have printed with original cartridges.

With the release of compatible Dell, Epson, Brother, Canon, HP ink cartridges, it is now possible for the consumer to print in volumes without breaking the bank balance.
